As I work on costs and pricing, I must stop and ask you to help me out.  Remember several months ago when I asked you to contact Representative Olson to tell him you were concerned about the requirement and associated costs to have your cannabis tested when bringing it in to have it converted at Albany’s Canna Kitchen?  He answered each of you with something along the lines of “I’m going to discuss that with Rhea in the Fall”.

Fall came along so I contacted Andy since his underling didn’t contact me.  The response I got was that he was going to talk to Tom Burns about it.  I have not heard back from Mr Olson although I did email and ask for a status update after the election as this is of great importance to our patients.

I guess it is time for each of you to write to him again and tell him that you cannot afford an additional $50 to $250 depending on what it is and where it’s tested, and if it has been tested before. This burden for your own product is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.  I understand that you may wish to have your products tested … and that’s great, but being forced to have it tested cannot be allowed.

Please contact Representative Olson at
Rep.AndyOlson@state.or.us  I suggest contacting him as he was on the panel that made the rules. Feel free to contact other elected officials and let them know how you feel about this situation.

Thank you, I am looking forward to bringing cheerier news one day soon.
